Chewy
Dupree Easter lives in Central Texas. He is two years old, now, as
he was born 1-21-2007. He is a male Brussels Griffon. Chewy is Such a
Super Sweet boy! He loves to snuggle! He also likes to be held like a
baby. I can't imagine not having him in our home. He doesn't do quite as
many tricks as his brother Chubbs, but he knows if he looks cute he will
get a treat anyway! He loves to play in the back yard and run, but he also
loves to Hang out on the couch and watch TV. He loves our daughter (she is
eleven years old) and they have such fun playing together.
I could talk all day about that little guy! He is my precious baby and
again he is typical Griffon, he loves to Zoom in the backyard and play
just as much as he likes to be a couch potato (and is a velcro dog to me -
he's a Mommy's boy). And for Non-Griff owners who don't know what zooming
is... it is common with Griffons, they tuck their little rear-ends in and
run (usually with their head down) like a little manic dog, typically
running non-stop in circles! It is great and so funny to watch! As far as
tricks, he can sit on command and lie down on command (this is usually
motivated by treats). He does love to play fetch and loves to play
tug-of-war with toys with his other Griffon brother Chubbs and he does his
fair share of rough-housing with Chubbs, letting him know he is the
"'older brother."
When running and playing in the back yard he also loves to just bask in
the sun, if it is very shady outside he will find the one little patch of
sun to lie in the grass in and just lounge! He does have a bit of
"selective hearing" but all in all is a fabulous little guy! He is spunky
and it for sure the "Pack leader" and ruler of the house, we pretty much
work around Chewy's moods! He loves to sit and look out the front window
and just check people and animals out, and is not a big fan of squirrels
at all, he doesn't tolerate squirrels in the yard, though the birds are
fine!
Chewy is a Barker and will bark non-stop at strangers until given the
opportunity to give them a good, close-up sniff and get the okay from his
mom, then it turns into non-stop licking! You have to love doggy kisses to
tolerate Chewy and fortunately for him, his family loves them! I seriously
can't let you know enough how much we love our boys and how wonderful this
breed is. The facial expressions they give are wonderful and you know what
your Griffon is thinking always just by the look on his/her face! We are
so lucky to be blessed with our little guys!
