This
is my sweet little girl Emmi Lou. She's smart, funny, and most of
all loving. Her favorite thing to do, besides eat (she's a piglet) is
sleep on her Momma or Daddy's lap. Though she snores a little, it's the
most adorable snore you'll ever hear!
Emmi has two older brothers, big older brothers; Hugo, a Boxer-Shepherd
mix and Berkley, a Lab-Collie mix. She absolutely adores Berkley. She
will follow him everywhere he goes and loves to pester him til no end.
Hugo just lays back and watches little Emmi harass poor Berkley... (the
same way Hugo did to Berkley just two years ago). It amazes me how
much patience seven-year-old Berkley has for Emmi.
Our short time with Emmi has not been all pleasant. A few weeks ago
Emmi started acting really strange. She certainly wasn't herself. We
thought that maybe she got into something and had been poisoned. I
took her to the emergency vet that day to be safe. After lots of poking
and prodding, the Vet told us she had Parvo. I was heartbroken. I
couldn't believe this had happened my little Emmi. I have no idea how
she got it, or where, but she did. The vet told me she a 50% chance of
survival. Lucky for us, we caught it early and fought it aggressively,
and Our Little Emmi made it through! I really do believe she's here
for a reason, and I love her more than words can express!
She truly is my sunshine.
