Meet
Harry The Beagle! We adopted him from a local shelter about five
years ago and he is as sweet as he looks. He originally came from a dog
food testing facility in Chicago and when his services were no longer
needed he was flown to Long Island NY with several other beagles. The
shelter that takes these dogs in will find them homes in exchange for free
food from the Chicago facility. Since Harry grew up in the facility (we're
not quite sure of his age, he's probably eight or nine years old now) it
was a big adjustment for him to live in an actual home. But even though he
was scared and unsure of his new surroundings, he has always had the
sweetest disposition and he is the gentlest soul you will ever meet.
As you can see from the photo below we didn't stop at Harry. When we got word
from the shelter that another group of beagles would be arriving we adopted two
more - from left to right meet Phoebe, Dexter and of course Harry the one who
started it all!
