Hi!
I was a caged breeder dog for one and a half years. No one ever held or loved
me before my new dad rescued me from my locked cage. Well, it's been 245
days as I write this since I have a new home and plenty of love! I'm not
scared of everyone anymore and I love my new home and friends.
Hashana is very special because of her being locked in a breeder's cage
for over one year. She was shaking scared for ten days when I first
brought her home. I couldn't touch her. Now, eight months later she trusts
me and is affectionate. She has a shy, sweet, loving personality. What
makes her special is she never had a chance to go thru "puppy-hood," so at
two years old she plays and acts like a puppy still. Every day is amazing
to her! Sometimes she takes all her "babies" - plush toys and makes a
"nest" with them. Again, she was a breeder so it's what she knows best.
She absolutely loves to play tug with her plush toys and adores the
same cat that her predecessor Cosette loved - Cleocatra. The tricks she
knows now are shake hands and sitting and come - she'll come to me when I say this.
It was fate how we ended up with each other. Her name was chosen because
it was the eve of the holiday Rosh Hashana, thus her name Hashana.
As Will Rogers once said:
"If there are no dogs in Heaven, then when I die I want to go where they went."
Hashana's dad - Marc
