I
found Portia at the Bluebonnet Poodle Rescue in Houston, Texas about a year ago. She is proof that you can
find purebred dogs in rescue!
What makes Miss Portia so special is her personality and playfulness. She is a
bit mischievous and puts everything in her mouth. Poodles were originally bred
to be retrievers, and Portia is a true poodle in that way, not just with her
pretty curls and charming looks! She loves her "brother" Peppie and her Mama.
Portia recently received her Hospice Pet Therapy certification. She, along
with her brother, will be brightening the lives of Hospice patients and their
families in nursing homes, Alzheimer's Units and Hospice In-Patient Units.
