This
is my dog Pepper. For my eighth birthday all I wanted was a dog and when we
went to the animal shelter this little guy was the only dog not barking his
head off but he sure was jumping around on his hind legs for attention! I
named him Pepper because he was all black with little specs of white (although
he has a lot more gray and white now that he's a old man!) and we've had him
now for almost twelve years. He was there to keep me company as a kid when my
parents were out, and now he keeps my parents company while I'm away at
college. He's a very cuddly, roly poly fellow and he loves everyone! Even the
veterinarians say he has a great attitude!
His favorite activities are sleeping, exploring outside, and play-fighting
with the cat (they pretend to dislike each other... until you catch them
cuddling). He can do tricks like shake and roll-over and he'll always try to
get away with doing them all at once as soon as you show him a treat. Pepper
is very much a people-dog and always likes to be where the action is, but he's
mellow at the same time, so most often he can be found with people, but
happily asleep. He hates to get wet and avoids puddles at all cost, but if you
put him in snow he hops around like a little bunny and chases snowballs! When
I'm away at school I miss my little guy a ton, but I know he'll be waiting
with a lick (or ten) and a request for a tummy rub when I come home! Love you buddy!
