Miss
Lulu Belle is my three year old Beagle/Basset girl. We adopted Lulu when
she was seven months old from a shelter. Lucky us! Lulu is 50% beagle, 50%
basset, and 100% lovable! We are most fortunate to have her in our household
and we love her more than words can say. Lulu was a houndful (pun intended)
for the first six months with us, as she displayed a nasty side and tried to
dominate me by nipping, growling and trying to shred my pant hems. She
benefited greatly from a dog trainer who taught her some manners and to
embrace her new family and not try to take a bite out of them. Lulu has
mellowed very nicely and is well-behaved now, except for the occasional
territorial outburst when other dogs get too close to our house. Her favorite
activities include romping through snow drifts, sniffing while on her
walksies, and lounging on our porch's wicker loveseat or in her bed, nestled
on top of the pillows, but her favorite place to go is the dog park where she
gets to play around with other dogs. She is our pillow princess and loves to
snuggle and get treats, poking her treat bag with her nose to get us to give
her some. Her nick names include Fa Fa, Boo Boo, Pooh Pooh, Roo Roo and
Poopsie Woopsie. We love our Lulu!
