Autumn
is special because, as you can see from the photos, she is an
easy-going, lazy dog! She loves to lay out in the sun, play with her Boston
Terrier sister, sleep under the coffee table (which she is too big to be doing
but hasn't realized that yet!), and has discovered her new-found love... the
couch! Due to her size and lack of coordination, Autumn was never able to get
on the couch before. A few weeks ago, she had an eye infection and really
seemed pretty sad and pathetic! One day we came home and discovered her on the
couch, relaxing in a way only bulldogs can do! It's been the couch for her
ever since! Watching her actually get up on the couch is most entertaining!
She is unable to "jump" like most dogs may do, so she does a certain climb!
It's such a task for her the she ends up sleeping for quite a while which
usually ends with a little puddle of drool somewhere nearby!
Autumn has a very easy-going personality. She loves sitting outside in the sun
and just relaxing, most of the time. The only thing that really gets her going
is the Chihuahua that lives next door. She will run along the fence and
"chase" him all day, if we don't stop her! She will rough house with the
Boston at random. They like to pretend to bite each other in the ears.
Autumn does know how to "sit" and "stay," but other than that, tricks aren't
really her specialty! She is a lover when she wants to be. She's a pretty
independent girl, but does have her moments of wanting to be a 40 pound lap dog!
She loves our five-year-old daughter and seven-month-old son. When our son was smaller
and in his swing, Autumn would periodically run over, rest her face in his
swing and check on him. When our daughter is outside blowing bubbles, Autumn
does love chasing them and eating them!
