My
name is Ben. I was alone and scared sitting in the back of a pickup truck
and not sure what was going to happen to me. Someone reached in and pulled me
out and gave me to a little girl. While the little girl was holding me I laid
my head on her shoulder and closed my eyes. That did it! I had a new home! My
new parents had another dog who is now my best friend. We love to chase each
other in the back yard and play ball together. I enjoy sitting in the yard and
watch for rabbits and birds. My new family is very sweet to me and I am
grateful to have a soft couch to sleep on.
Ben is special to us because he is such a sweet boy. He is very affectionate
and loves his velvety ears rubbed. He loves to go outside in the backyard . He
and our daughter are still best friends and he waits for her to get home from
school everyday. He loves to go for walks and play ball. The problem with
playing ball is that he does not like to give it back without a chase. He is
very friendly and likes to meet new people and their dogs. He know how to sit,
lay down and shake hands. His favorite is to catch treats in the air.
He's the best friend I have ever had. He is so adorable when he looks at me
with his big brown eyes. He likes to run around and chase rabbits in the back
yard hoping to catch one but they are too fast for him. However, it does not
stop him from trying. He is a typical Beagle, laid back, loving and can be
very vocal depending on what he wants. He has been a wonderful addition to
our family with his unique personality and the nickname he has earned is
"Counter Surfer". He makes a point to check out the counter for any food that
may be left out. Watch out for your sandwich!
He is special to us and we can not imagine life without our sweet laid back
Ben.
