Dakota
is two months old in this picture, and he's a Lab/Golden Retriever mix.
We have only had him a few weeks but he has made such an impact on our lives.
He is such a joy to have around. Although being a handful as a puppy, he is
smart, learns fast, and is such a love! He loves to hug and cuddle close. It
just warms our hearts to have him around!
He is extremely affectionate, likes to be touching us in some way all the
time. For example he will curl up against our legs if we are standing, or
will jump up with his front paws on our legs when sitting. If we hold him, he
will cuddle close and hug up by our shoulders. His favorite game at this
point I would say is digging. He loves to dig for "treasure", which would
include something interesting to put in his mouth, such as weeds, sticks,
rocks, pretty much anything we have to try and take away.
Dakota is now three months, and his white patch on his chest is very prominent
now! He is a deeper golden color too, as you can see. He is still working on
leash training, but he learns quickly and knows sit, stay, lay down, and
although he knows Dakota Come, he chooses when he wants to come to us when
called. He is extremely smart and seems to have a sense of humor. He goes
from being very loving and cuddly to puppy monster then back again. We just
love his personality!
