Gus
came home in 2002 from a litter of Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppies.
Gus has been a great joy ever since I saw him for the first time, and
whoever says his breed is dangerous, he proves them wrong. Gus is so
sweet, he cuddles with you, plays with you and has never been rude to any
dog before. He has a sister named Kelly, who is the same breed as him and
he has a new little sister named Maybel, a Border Terrier.
Gus is a brave boy, and a real daredevil. He loves his Kong Wubba water
toy, and he will dive into the deepest water just to get it. When we take
him to the pier he jumps off of it and into the deep water with no fear at
all. He can swim for hours on end, and despite his age he has no problem
keeping afloat. He also loves meeting new people, especially children
because he knows he gets lots of attention, and he is always nice and calm
around people. He also loves all of his Whippet friends he plays with all
the time. He meets tons of new dogs, but he never gets tired of playing
games with the Whippets, especially his best friend Skeet. He plays with
his new sister a lot, and of course Kelly. They play fetch, they swim, they
all get along really well. Even though Gus is really active, he can be a
lazy boy. Some morning he just doesn't want to get up and stays on the
blankets with his toy at close range--just in case! He will also cuddle up
beside me and fall right back asleep.
Gus has been on many trips with us, like going to fraser Island, a really
big island with his favorite thing--water! He really loved running around
and rolling in the sand with Kelly when we went there. He also came up to
Maryborough with us the other day, and had fun with some Whippet friends
and playing Frisbee. He also loves when we make some homemade biscuits for
the dogs, he is always the first standing right there on the verge up
jumping on the counter and stealing one!
Even though you can't change some people's minds about his breed, I believe
Staffordshire Bull Terriers are as very loving breed. If you want to learn
