Scooby-Doo
came from a loving family in New Orleans with many kids, but
too little time to meet his cuddling demands. We adopted him immediately
and brought him to our home on the other side of the lake. The drive was
long; but completely worth it, as our rambunctious, eight-month-old puppy was
definitely the perfect fit for our lives. We decided to keep the name his
first family gave him, since he fit the profile of the vivacious cartoon
character so well.
His hobbies include finding any boxes or piles of clothes to burrow in,
long walks along the water front, dancing on his hind legs with his mommy,
the long car rides to his grandma's house to play with her four dogs,
running around grandpa's vast land, and squeaking his favorite pet toy. He
does many tricks, including standing on his hind legs and plopping down on
his rear-end (like a human), basic commands, climbing onto very high
surfaces - much to his mommy and daddy's chagrin, and playing dead when
it's time for his bath. The only thing he fears is "the bad man" who makes
loud noises outside our home late some nights. He greets all visitors with
a happy bark and kiss and will play imaginary-monster-under-the-cover with
your hand for hours on end! As he is a serious cuddler, he will eventually
wind up fast asleep on your lap. Even though his bountiful energy can be a
bit exhausting, everyone who meets him immediately falls in love!
