This
is our little man Spencer, affectionately known as Spencie. We got
Spencer after losing our eighteen-year-old Westie Skipper. We never would have
believed that we would have fallen so deeply in love again but Spencer has
our hearts. He is the most loving and affectionate animal we have ever
had. He is happiest when sitting on our laps or snuggling next to us in
bed. He does not want to be more than a few feet away, and if we go out he
is always very happy to see us when we return. Spencer is the first male
dog we have ever had and he is a delight.
We got Spencer from a kennel where he did not have much human contact. He
was very shy when we brought him home and is still afraid of certain
things. Luckily he has his big sister Shelby (our other Westie) to look
out for him. They are best friends and play together all day when they are
not hunting squirrels and rabbits.
Spencer loves to run and play in the yard, and he loves his toys,
especially stuffed animals. He does not like baths. When he was a baby he
had a passion for chewing our flip flops which he has outgrown now. He
loves to play rough with his Dad and will growl ferociously but is very
careful to only nip lightly in play. He sometimes sleeps on his back with
is feet straight up in the air. He is a riot and we laugh daily at his
antics. We cannot imagine life without him. He is definitely a huge part
of our family, and we love him!
