This
is Joey, he's my Yorkshire Terrier, and he just turned eight years old on
March 8th! My dog is so sweet and smart. When he wants something, he
literally shows you what he wants by taking you to a specific place. (Like
if he wants to go out, he leads you to the back door, or if he wants a
treat, he points to the treats with his nose.) My dog also loves wearing
clothes. When he sees you holding an item of his clothing, he gets so
excited and he will sit down and help you dress him by giving you his
paws. His toys have names and he knows all of them; if you tell him to get
you the ball, he'll get it. If you tell him to get you his stuffed red
dog, Rodrico, he will go and get it. If you are upset, he will sit by you
and stay with you; I fell down the stairs the other day and for the rest
of the day, every time I went up and down the stairs, he would watch me
closely, making sure I didn't fall again.
Joey has been in my life since I was twelve and I love him so much. He is a
part of the family and I talk to him as if he is a human being himself. He
is so sweet, smart, gentle, playful ... the list goes on!
