I'll
never forget the very first day I saw Lily. My boyfriend and I were
walking down a road next to my house with my mom's little Shih-Tzu when a
bunch of puppies came running towards us from a neighbor's house. The lady
came outside and asked if we wanted one. I told my boyfriend to go back to my
mom's house and put the dog inside. My mother is scared of big breeds, so
when she found out that Lily was a Labrador and Pit mix (her mother is
Pit/Labrador and her father is a full Yellow Labrador), she was very nervous,
but I couldn't let her say no. After waiting a few hours for the owner of the
puppies to come home, we finally had Lily all to ourselves. It was pretty
easy to pick out a name for her. Lily just fit her so well.
She's a very smart dog. I taught her how to sit, shake, and even "kiss" in
only a couple of days. She's really playful. When she gets very excited
she'll run around the room with her butt almost touching the floor, it's one
of the cutest things I've ever seen. She's so sweet, she loves giving
"kisses." When it comes to meeting new people, she'll get really excited and
she'll cover them with kisses. She has grown up so fast, and she's getting so
big. She's a very unique dog, and I just love everything about her personality.
And Lily even loves playing with my mom's Shih-Tzu, they're best friends even
though she's so much bigger than him! No matter what kind of toy you buy her,
she'll have it chewed up in just a few minutes. She loves to play non-stop.
Whenever my boyfriend and I are laying or sitting down, she'll come up next
to us and sit down. Whenever she sits down, it means she wants her chest
rubbed. When she was very small, I would rub her chest all the time to relax
her. And now she's spoiled with it. If we stop rubbing her chest, she will
literally slap our hands and try to pull them towards her so we keep going.
She's very curious. She loves watching everything we do, just like a human
would. She's not like any other dog. I wouldn't ask for another, that's for sure.
