Hello
everyone this is DJ Marie. She is three months and three weeks old.
This puppy is special simply because as a puppy she has gone through a lot
before she was rescued by North Shore animal center. She was abandoned with
her brother both of them alone somewhere in the South. They were saved and
made it into the rescue system.
I wasn't ready to adopt another puppy since the passing of my previous
lab-mix and all I wanted to do at that time was just look around. But I
got there and when I saw her I picked her up, disturbing her beauty nap.
She stretched herself on my arms and shoulders and looked for a
comfortable spot on my arms, looked at me and started repeatedly kissing
me as if I was her owner already while I had tears running down my eyes
remembering my previous Dee. That was the most beautiful Kodak moment seen
by everyone in the room. I look over to my life partner and said, "We are
going home with our new baby, this is it!" And the great thing is at that
moment another decision was being made for another family who picked her
brother right away from just short days available for adoption. So she
became DjMarie Rodriguez Erdmann.
This photo is of DJ Marie realizing the sound of the door opening meant
her other dad was coming home, letting you know how active, aware, and
anxious she is when it comes to her dads. She is already very attached to
us both, and we love her very much!
DJ Marie is a puppy that has caught the eyes of everyone around her and
has been love by such. I am so honored to be her dad and she surely shows
the same to me and my partner. She has become the most loving, spoiled,
energetic puppy ever bringing a laughter into my life no matter the
moment, day, or time. I have noticed that even people afraid of dogs have
felt comfortable thanks to her loving, because no matter who you are, she
is ready to give kisses and happy wiggling tail.
She became house broken in her second month of age and boy how she loves
her treats as rewards! One of her favorite games is one I call "the gosh
catcher," in which I would place my hands under the blanket and she will
follow every move to nibble my hands and I attempt to catch her as she
jumps high away from them beating me at it all the time. When it comes to
walks, she loves it at least six times a day, and we can be out with her
for at least 1/2 to 45 minutes at a time, but it is great to see her watch
everything moving around, and bring a toy for her to catch. But yet we
constantly watch her, because like a baby she will put things in her mouth
not suitable for her well being. The park is her number one playground and
she makes sure to let us know that is where she wants to go. Yet when she
gets home to relax, she is as laid back as her fathers are, and yes she
love to sleep. Over all DJ Marie is a blessing from the sky who has
touched many lives. She has not only been a joy to us as parents, but to
our entire family, friends neighbors and complete total strangers!
