Hi,
my name is Shannon, a.k.a. Shenanigan and 'Pretty Girl.' I found my
people one day when they were walking their other dogs. I followed them home,
and became a member of the family.
I try to remind them every day that I'm 'practically perfect in every way.' I
keep them healthy by making sure they walk me and the two other dogs I live
with, Murphy and Mulligan, at least a couple miles a day. I'm not picky about
what I eat. I've tried crayons and rubber bands, but really love carrots and
dog biscuits. I don't really do any tricks, other keep watch in the kitchen
in case any food falls on the floor. Then I'm on 'clean-up detail.'
My people tell me I followed them home in 2005. They tried to find my former
owners, but not finding anyone looking for me, they decided to keep me. Since
I go for walks every day, I'm pretty social, however I don't like it when
small dogs bark at me. They scare me a little. I've visited an assisted
living facility a couple of times and when the residence want to meet me, I
sit and patiently wait until they are done petting me.
I love my people very much and I'm glad I could convince them to nominate me.
I wish every dog had people just like them.
