My
family adopted Lego from a local no-kill animal shelter. When we first saw
him, it was late January and he was a scrawny thing, missing some fur, and
limping around on his bad paw. We instantly fell in love. He was found a
month earlier on the streets. The vet decided it was best if they amputated
his right front paw, and the doctor did an amazing surgery. The first night
we took him home he slept on the floor beside my bed. The next night he
hopped into my bed and snuggled right next to me, he's slept with me ever
since. He's missing his front right leg, but he has no trouble except when he
lifts his leg to pee.
He is one of the sweetest dogs ever. He loves me like crazy. He follows me
everywhere around the house and when I leave he waits at the door until I
come home. When he gets excited, it is the funniest thing, he hops around in
circles showing his teeth like a smile. He knows sit, lay down, up (where he
sits on his butt), high-five, and bang. He loves his baby which he cuddles
with (and shakes it and squeaks it). He always tries to protect me, and
although he isn't much of a threat I trust him to take down burglars at 4 in
the morning.
