Hey
everyone! My name is Jordan and I am a sweet and lovable dog. I don't
remember how I came to the pound, but I overheard my sister saying that
they found me outside all by myself. The day that I saw my family at the
pound was the happiest day of my life! When they opened the door, I ran
straight to my soon-to-be brother, and jumped on his lap. I was a little
offended because my sister thought I was a girl when she first saw me, and
I can't understand how she came to that conclusion. Regardless of that, I
could not wait to go home with my new family. I think I was given a name
at the pound, but my brother named me after the greatest Basketball
player, ever. Now, eight years later I am the happiest that I can be, my
family loves me so much and I them in return. My brother takes me on
walks, my sister kisses me and sings with me, and my mother lets me sleep
on any of the beds in the house. Yes, I shed, but my mom has that under control.
I love to lie on the bed and look out the window to see what is going on
in the world. I don't get along with other animals very much, they think I
play too rough-I just have so much energy, I but I love humans
unconditionally. One time, I got sprayed by a skunk and I was depressed
for days, I even smelled for three months after that. But, my siblings
bought me a toy skunk to make me feel better, and I felt much better after
I ripped him apart. I was recently diagnosed with arthritis in my hips, so
getting up has gotten a bit harder. But that doesn't stop me, I still have
just as much energy and I'm just as happy to go on my walks. I love to
stay up with my sister while she's studying, even though sometimes I end
up going to sleep way before she does. One time, my sister was having knee
surgery and I was so worried about her that I came to her bed in the
morning and lay on her knee hoping that my warmth would prevent her from going.
I tend to get impatient at times when asking for food, and if I don't
receive my treat after sitting in my special pretty pose, I run over to
the closet where the treats are, and knock on the door with my paw. My
brother is definitely my best friend, I highly respect him and when I
really need to go to the bathroom in the morning, I sit by his bed, taking
deep breaths, making pfft sounds until he finally wakes up. I love my
family so much; I would be lost without them. Their love for me is
unconditional, they tell me that every single day.
