This
is Hamlet, or sometimes Hammy for short. Hamlet is very special to me
and my boyfriend. He fits perfectly into our home and as you can tell from
the pictures, he's very happy too! He loves pushing a soccer ball around
with his face, and chasing his reflection in the water.
One funny thing about Hamlet, he has an under-bite, meaning his lower jaw
is just slightly longer than his upper jaw, making his bottom teeth stick
out of his mouth, even when his mouth is closed! I find it adorable.
As for his personality: imagine a human toddler, then multiply that by 50.
He constantly does things to see if he can get away with them, sometimes three
or four times in a row. But just as toddlers do, I watch him grow and learn
as well. Hamlet is also very vocal, he sighs and groans when he is
annoyed. He also makes "baby dinosaur yawn" noises every time he's really sleepy.
He does know several tricks, the best is Hamlet can keep a bone on his
nose until I tell him he can have it. He's still learning to catch it
before it hits the ground though.
Hamlet is more independent than affectionate. He walks around the house
and explores. He does this so much that we have two baby gates placed in
two different areas to block him from exploring the whole house when we
are not there to watch him. But after he's tired of exploring, Hamlet
usually comes on the couch, and sleeps next to me.
