This
is my four month-old Golden Retriever puppy Inja. His name, Inja,
means "dog" in Zulu. Inja is the sweetest puppy you'll ever meet. We
adopted him when he was eight weeks old and ever since then he has brought
a smile to everyone who meets him!
Inja is already very obedient. He has learned lots of tricks like sit,
down, shake, high five, jump up, roll over and play dead. He also walks to
heel very well. He is trained using only Positive Reinforcement clicker
training methods and he is currently in training to become a therapy dog.
When he is a year old, he will be tested and hopefully be certified to
visit nursing homes, hospitals, schools, etc.
Inja is very cute. He has big brown eyes that will melt even the iciest of
hearts and he has soft, fluffy cream-colored fur. Right now, all his puppy
fur is slowly falling out and his adult coat is growing in its place. We
can already tell that he's going to grow into a big stocky dog. He has
very broad shoulders and long muscular legs. Despite being quite big for
his age, Inja is very gentle and loves playing with the smaller dogs. His
best friend is a white Bichon called Rosa and the two spend hours chasing
each other round the garden.
Inja is quite a sporty dog, he loves running, but most of the time he just
likes to flop down in the garden and bask in the sun. However, when it
snows, he loves running around in it and chasing the snowflakes! It's very
funny to see! When he meets new people, he's very good and never jumps up.
He just goes and sits in front of them and wait to be petted. Inja is a
very people-orientated dog, and goes up to greet every person he meets.
Everyone in our neighborhood loves him, as he is very calm and mellow.
Inja is a very loving dog, he likes nothing better than to flop down on
your lap and have his tummy rubbed. He also loves playing tug, running
around in the fields during walks and eating treats. Inja does love to
eat! His favorite snacks are cheese and sausage. But, of course, he only
gets those lovely treats if he's a very good boy.
Inja has made me so happy and during his life, he will certainly make a lot of other people happy! He's the best dog in the world and I love him to bits!
