Lilly
is a beautiful Shepherd, Labrador cross that is the light of my
life. She is adventurous and calm. She is protective (though not as much
as Flopsie, our older dog). Her favorite color is pink, and her favorite
toy is a Pet Learning toy of a platypus with removable squeaky eggs. She
especially loves animals and water, and whenever we head out to the
campgrounds, she loves tracking the various animal scents- she's also
extremely good at it. She catches so many rabbits and fish and even
squirrels and birds. She is very well known to play with them- but she
never hurts them and eventually always lets them go. She won a couple of
awards when she was younger in beauty contests online as well.
When we got Lilly, she was very much a cat-dog. She was the youngest (and
the runt) of a litter of eighteen, where only one of the pups died (of a
muscular disease- not from lack of food). So all her brood years were
spent being taunted and beat up on from her sixteen older and larger brothers
and sisters. Her and her oldest brother (the largest and oldest of the
pups) were the only ones who have tan anywhere on their bodies- and she's
the only one with markings. Due to her siblings (and the four children
under five in the household) she spent her time with the resident cat of the
house before we got her, and so sometimes she will meow and act cattish
for a while when she's by cats. She is the most lovable and beautiful
little girl ever, and I couldn't be prouder to call her my own.
