I
would like to introduce everyone to our dog, Ozzy. He is an Irish Soft
Coated Wheaten Terrier. Ozzy definitely considers himself part of the family.
There is nothing he wants more than to be with us everywhere we go. To his
credit, he is willing to lay around and do nothing or go hiking for 10+
miles, whatever we want to do so long as he gets to go.
Ozzy is a fisherman as we have taken him fishing since he was very young. He
will stand and look into the water to "help" us fish, and when we catch one
he goes nuts and is so excited. After celebrating the catch, he will sit down
and stare at the fish until we release it. During the excitement of the
catch, there are those times where he will jump into the water which gives us
the extra challenge of pulling in the fish and the wet dog from the lake.
Ozzy is also a dog of comfort. He knows exactly what pillows are for. He will
arrange pillows to his liking and comfort and lay on them.
Ozzy loves people. All you need to do is make eye contact with him and give
him the smallest of smiles and he will give you love. And if you avoid eye
contact with him, he will do his best to get you to look at him. He is a
ladies man and will run at top speeds to impress them. One time, in his
attempt to make eye contact with an attractive young lady, he walked into a
concrete pillar while looking sideways at her and walking straight ahead!
We love Ozzy and look forward to many more years with him.
