Here
are some pictures of my Old English Sheepdog - George. George is three
years old and still acts very much like a puppy. George lives in Toronto, and
has a cottage on Georgian Bay, Ontario. He loves to run up and down the
beach, all year long. He loves to fetch the ball, and jump, rain or shine. He
has many toys and is generally spoiled rotten. But he is so happy. His
excellent blood lines come from a breeder in Welland, Ontario. George has a
buddy who is a Siamese cat.
George is a happy dog. Always follows us into the kitchen, just in case we
should happen to stand beside George's own cookie jar (shaped like a dog, of
course). The cookie jar is a family heirloom, as it was originally owned by
Skippy, my Grandmothers mutt who lived to sixteen years.
George loved to play toss the teddy bears. He literally flies over the couch
and races down the hall, sliding on the hardwood floors to catch it and
return for a re-run. My mother was sitting on that part of the couch one day
when George flew over her head. She said she was never coming back. But she
did, many times, and sat in a different spot.
George likes to sleep at night on his own bed, in his own room. During the
day his spot is on the couch, so that he can watch the world go by out the
front window. That way he can announce that another dog is approaching. He
gets his hair cut approximately four times a year, and it costs more than my
husband and myself's hair cutting costs for the year. He is very affectionate
and gives kisses for scratches. And yes he loves friends and family alike.
