My
Pet's Name is Ollie which is short for Oliver. He is one year and one month
old (June 11 is his birthday!). He was born in Far Rockaway New York, which I drove
to from Philadelphia (my residence of the time) to Far Rockaway to pick him
up. He is the first dog I have ever owned as my parents never allowed me to
have a dog. I promised my parents the second I was out of college,
financially stable and living on my own that I would be getting a dog. I
think it is the one goal in my whole life that I really successfully
completed HA! He is the biggest goofball ever and the cutest little thing I
have ever seen. He loves to run which is not a normal characteristic of
bulldogs and he loves sun bathing another abnormal characteristic for French
Bulldogs. He is a purebred and he traveled in the car with me from
Philadelphia, PA to Milwaukee, WI where we live today. We lived in the
suburbs of Philly before so he was used to the big lawns and quiet areas and
now he has become a true city dog though he still has to have a patch of
grass to do his business ... hasn't gotten used to cement yet.
My dog is a goofball. He has made me laugh even when I am in the worst of
moods. He rolls around like crazy and stretches until he is the tallest dog I
have seen in a while. He runs around jumping on and off furniture like a nut
right after we get back from a three to five mile (4.8 to to 8 km) walk. He loves ice cubes and loves
the snow. he could run around in snow for hours if I let him! He loves other
dogs and other people and strives for attention. He doesn't ever bark but he
cries like a baby (literally).
I don't know what else to say about my little dog except I am so happy I had
the courage to get him despite not knowing what I was doing ... I was
terrified of doing everything wrong when I first brought him home. I thought
I would never get him potty trained! I was worried about hurting him when
picking him up, I was so gentle with him. He is now my best friend and my
roommate loves him! I can't imagine my life without my pup.
