Hi
everyone! My name is Christmas but my parents also called me either Chris
or Boo-Boo. I picked my parents out right before Christmas in 2001 and that's
how I got my name.
Chris was very special to us and was the runt of the litter but he had the
biggest heart of any dog we've ever known. He was loved by all who met him
and never met a stranger. Within minutes, Chris was friends with everyone. He
was very loving, caring, compassionate and loved to be in someone's lap
getting all the attention. When he was about two years old, we got him a
girlfriend Callie (Shih Tzu). He was reluctant at first but they fell madly
in love with each other. Then one day, we went out to dinner, they got
together and a few weeks later, Chris became a daddy himself. A father of six
darling little angels. After the puppies were born, we kept one each for a
total of four, dad, mom, son (Taz) and a daughter (Badonkadonk) ... a full
house. Chris was good to his puppies. He would sit in the bed with them, lick
them and play with them. He was an outstanding dad to them all, very unusual
for a male dog.
Chris was not a very hyper dog, but very laid back and caring. You could be
having a bad day, he would sit in your lap and it seemed he understood and
made all your troubles just melt away. Chris loved being outside roaming the
yard, laying around in the sun or playing in the snow in the winter. When
inside he would play with the other dogs as well, running from one end of the
house to the other, playing and barking. He would also sit at the front door
and bark at cars and people as if he owned the street. You could put him on
the bed, run your hands under the covers under his feet and he would jump
around and bark like something was after him. This was one of the many games
he liked to play. But, he also loved his afternoon nap. This was his "Do Not
Disturb Me" time.
Chris was mainly a momma's boy. He loved his momma dearly and was very
protective of her. They gave each other much company and companionship. He
could always brighten up her day with his charismatic personality. He could
even say "mama". He would lie on the bed and nap while she was doing her
homework or watching some TV. Chris was such a good buddy to us all and we
miss him dearly. Chris was family with four furry paws.
Christmas was the best dog ever. We miss him dearly even though he's crossed
over the Rainbow Bridge. Not a day goes by that we don't think about him and
wish he was still here with us.
