Gambit
is a special dog; he loves to work at the horse farm and greets
everyone with a smile. He has never met a human he does not like. Even as a
baby he loved little kids. When someone has a bad day he tends to try and get
them to laugh. The best part of this little high energy dog is he loves to
sleep in, on our days off from the farm he has been known to sleep till 11am.
Gambit learned his basic commands of sit and lay down in only a day after we
had picked him up from the breeder at six and a half weeks old. Now in his line up of
tricks he does sit, down, jump, shake, high five and you can tell him which
paw, roll over and you can tell him to go get the cat from the office and he
will herd the cat from the office. Gambit being the farm dog he is has a
total of 8 cats that he tries to play with. He will not hurt his cats he just
want to play with them. He has one cat that will play with him named Scar.
His favorite game is to go chase either his ball or frisbee. Gambit's other
favorite game is to chase butterflies around the yard. He is a very out going
dog and as long as he has a friend by his side he is scared of nothing.
Gambit likes to play that he is very independent but when something does
scare him if he is on his own he will run to find me. Some days when he wants
to play he will even talk back. If you give a command and he doesn't want to
do it he will make a tiny barking sound at you, or if you tell him to be
quiet if he is barking he will bark once more just to do it. At the farm we
house 40 horses and all of the horses owners love him and want to take him
home. Gambit is a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day around the barn. If a day
goes where he is not at the barn everyone who sees me asks where he is and
why he isn't there.
