Koda
is a four month old Australian Shepherd and (possible) golden retriever
mix with heterochromia - two colored eyes. He was rescued late April by a
shelter in Ojai, California. He, along with his siblings, was infested with
fleas and ticks, and all were terribly underweight. Thankfully though, the
shelter nursed them all back to health and put them up for adoption. All of
his siblings were adopted; except him. Until we came along on that day in May
that is, to bring him home.
Now that he finally has somewhere to call home and has everything he could
imagine - good food, a huge yard to run around in, new places and objects to
explore and play with, an older dog friend, a warm bed - he's a completely
differen't dog. His coat has already began to improve, he's learning to
behave himself better, he's much more playful... Pretty much, he's like most
other pups, which means goofy, playful, fun, messy, noisy... He enjoys
nothing more than chasing a ball or running laps around the couch while
chasing his new three year old buddy, Rylee.
He's already grown so much since we've gotten him, and in so many ways. I'm
very much looking forward to watching him grow into a handsome adult, but at
the same time, despite the work... I don't want him to grow up either!
