This
is Zeus. He was a Sheppadoodle, half shepherd and half standard
poodle. His grey curly coat was extremely soft, even more so when shaved
but I prefer the curly look!! He was an extremely loving boy, who treated
my boyfriend like his brother. He belonged to my mother in law, so we saw
him often enough. Every time we would pull into the driveway he would
already have heard our car coming and be at the window wining like a bird!
lol It was so cute.
He didn't mind getting wet or jumping in lakes but if it was just his paws
getting wet he hated it! When we would take him for walks, if there was a
puddle in the way he would go all the way around it looking at it the whole
time make sure it didn't get on his paws! Also, his mom got new hardwood
floors so for a while she put socks on his feet. He got used to it and when
he would come in from outside (during the winter time when the socks stayed
on outside) we would try to take them off because they would be wet from
the snow and he would nip at us! He wanted to keep his sockies on! It was adorable!!
I say was, because sadly he was put down last year. We didn't get to say
goodbye but we do have our memories. My boyfriend and I both think that
there could never be another dog like him. He had such a personality, it
was incredible. You know how in the new release movie King Kong, how they
gave him brown eyes that seem to have so much feeling behind them, that was
Zeus. I noticed it after the movie came out and his mother and my boyfriend
both completely agreed, he had King Kong eyes. He knew if you were sad or
mad or happy, like most dogs, but he just seemed so empathetic towards our
feelings. He was an amazing dog and I wish I could have had him cloned! I
love him tons and hope he is resting in peace. RIP Zeus, we love you.
