This
is Princess Kurumi, and she is a Shiba Inu. We generally call her
Princess, though I do like calling her Kurumi on occasion. Or even Walnut.
She has been mistaken for a fox on more than one occasion. Whenever we are
playing fetch she will leap off of our porch, sailing about five feet like a
rabbit before running off to grab the ball! She is incredibly friendly, if
extremely stubborn. Over the years we have only managed to teach her 2 1/2
tricks: sit, jump and half of lay down. Even though she 'knows' those tricks,
she will often not do them at all. When we go on walks together she will bolt
out the door and practically drag me down the street every time! I am
convinced that she is too smart to fall for learning tricks for treats. She
really has a very strong pack mentality. I am just happy to be considered to
be what she thinks of as above her in our 'pack!'
