This
is Bela, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel! She and her sister, Roxy,
love to play together. Bela enjoys agility, and jumping. She and her sister
live in North Carolina. She gets along with all animals; cockatiels,
chickens, parrots, cats, fish, and frogs, too!
Bela is a very gentle dog, and loves to sit in laps. She is a little piggie,
though, and she eats anything. Cardboard, dust bunnies, anything. Once she
ate a rope toy and it tangled around her digestive track - we took her to the
vet- and they had to do surgery. She almost didn't make it! If I had lost
her, I don't know what I would've done. She made it, though! After almost two
weeks at the vet, she came home. Her sister was super happy to see her! Bela
is usually crazy and runs around a lot, but for a few days she slept and
cuddled. Her sister, Roxy, is usually kind of lazy and cuddly, so they laid
around together a lot.
We don't let our dogs have rope toys anymore, it's a safety hazard! But Bela
is a lucky pup. She's good with other animals, too. My cockatiel, Buddy,
likes to explore my carpet. Bela sits quietly and watches from a respectful
distance. She doesn't chase the chickens, either. When I first got her, she
was at the breeder. She was the only brown one (on Cavaliers it's called
ruby) puppy in the whole litter. Her father was ruby, like her. Her mother
was black-and-tan, like her sister. Overall Bela is the best dog I could ever
want. She's lived with me her whole life, and I plan on her staying with me
my whole life. :)
