We
got Draven in Chicago, Illinois at an animal shelter. He has white paws,
and the tip of his tail is also white. Draven tends to like almost everybody.
He especially likes the pizza delivery people. You can tell when he knows
you're upset because he will lick you. Whenever we get excited, he gets hyped
up too. One of the good things about having him is that he doesn't chew on
anything but his toys. If our family goes away for the day or goes on
vacation, Draven won't eat much of his food. If you are upset, he will lick
you or leave you alone if that's what you want.
If you are wondering, Draven is part Akbash. An Akbash is a Turkish dog breed
that is used for herding. They are very big and usually white, unless they
are cross-bred with another breed. Draven is half Golden Retriever so his fur
looks yellow. Akbash dogs are rare in America, so we were very lucky to get
this one-of-a-kind dog. And if you are wondering about his name, the animal
shelter people gave him that name. My parents liked it because it was from
the movie "The Crow," the main character's name was Eric Draven.
