My
very special pet is Khan, and he's a Belgian breed of dog. He's a Belgian
mastiff and he has recently turned two years old. He also lives in Belgium!
Khan's breed is very special because it was actually nearly extinct. There
was only one left, but then a breeder started crossing dogs and now the
Belgian mastiff is back. These dogs are made for pulling things, during World
War II people used them to pull stuff for them, example: to carry around
milk. The general features are their black mask and sandy, yellow-like color.
They are also fairly large. Khan weighs 65 kg (143 pounds) and if he stands up on his hind
legs, he's about 7cm (2.8 inches) taller then me (I'm 1m69 [5' 6"]), and he's one of the little ones!
Khan is special not only for his breed, but just because he is the gentlest
dog ever! He likes to come and lay his head down on my lap, or jump up
against me to dance. He's also most gently with our newest inhabitants,
Cyrill the bunny and Felix, a kitten. I love him!
