This
is Odie, my Great Pyreneese mix. He is huge, loving, cute, protects the
yard, gets along with cats well and he is a good friend.
When my parents went and got him at the shelter, he was still technically a
puppy, but by then he was already fully grown. He came out, brought his
Donald Duck chew toy and climbed into the vehicle. He was a bit of wild at
first, because he'd charge all over the place, but settled right down. Now he
is pretty much a stay-at-home type dog. He goes out on patrols in the yard,
but spends a large part of his days laying around or protecting the property.
He also acts as referees for the cats. We have one ourselves, Shadow, and
there is another cat that invades the yard to pick on my cat. It's smaller
than Shadow, but he's petrified of her!
Odie's personality is stubborn, he likes to bark at almost everything. He
plays or dances for his biscuits, which is cute! People only expect that from
small dogs, I bet! He is our first Pyrenees, I got him because my parents
wanted me to have someone around to keep me company when I lived alone.
If you are wondering about the shirt, he hurt his foot on something and we
been doting over him ever since. He had been chewing his fur, so we hope the
shirt will stop the chewing while he heals. We love him very, very much!
