Introducing
Lewis Edward Miller. We acquired Lewis at the end of May 2013. My
sister had asked me if I could help her find a home for this young boy. He
was is the home of a friend of hers and she couldn't keep him. I had lost my
14 1/2-year-old female Basset about eight months prior to this and was on a list
for another female puppy.
His vocal skills are unbelievable. He was very quiet when we first got him,
but once we found out he could howl, we were hooked. He has a really low but
loud, very loud voice and we love to egg him on. I take him every where with
me, so he is very social. Usually when we enter a building, he lets out this
huge howl just to let everybody knows he has arrived!
I had no intention of keeping this dog. I found a man that wanted him and
told him that my sister and I were going to pick up the dog and that he could
pick him up at my house when he got out of work. Well, he never showed up.
Lew spent the night at our house and we decided to keep him. After looking at
all the paperwork that I got from the previous owner, I found out that we
were the fourth owners in a three month timeframe. Within days, he made
himself right at home,and we fell madly in love with this handsome boy. We
have yet to figure out how anybody could give him away. He is so sweet and
silly. I've decided that he was meant to be with us. He rescued our broken
hearts when we least expected it. Because of that, I think Lewis is worthy of honor.
