There is a saying ... "The dog chooses you," and we know it is true. The day I adopted Cookie was probably the most entertaining weekend of my life. I got to experience all types of characters in all breeds until I met Cookie in a shelter. I think we where at the shelter for almost three hours before I noticed her. She was calm and quiet, all the other dogs were barking and excited. I visited with her and we fell in love with each other. We were told she is a Staffordshire/Pitbull Terrier/Labrador mix. I never thought I would ever want another dog again, and after meeting her everything changed for us.
Cookie can sit and lay down on command. She loves to play with other dogs. She is very affectionate and loves to snuggle. She has plenty of energy, so enjoys long walks and going to dog park. Also, she likes to watch Elmo and Sesame Street. She likes to play fetch and loves the song "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star." She still enjoys her alone time, too. Cookie has been a positive and uplifting influence in our lives since August 2015. I hope everyone can experience this type of love and companionship in their lifetimes.
