We adopted Maya when she was a year and a half old, and she has been with us more than a year ago now, and she is so affectionate.
Maya is our second dachshund, we have a two-year-old male whom we got when he was a puppy. When Dagger was almost a year old, Maya came into our life without it being planned, and we decided to adopt her. She is usually a calm dog, she prefers to cuddle than to play. It wasn't easy the first few months, as she had lots and lots of bad habits but with hard work, love and patience it's all good now.
She doesn't love strangers a lot but when she gets used to you, she is a loving little girl! She didn't know any tricks when we adopted her, but now she knows how to sit, lay down, do a turn and give her paw. She loves food a lot, she prefers warm weather than cold or rainy days, and loves to chase squirrels in the yard. She and we would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, and hopes Santa Paws is good to everyone!
