Raine came into my life out of the blue, so very unexpectedly. I watched her enter this world, but her beginning was not a good one. She had trouble breathing, and had fluid in her lungs. But she had help, and began to fight for her place in this existence. At first sight, I know there was something special about her. She was the female runt, and by far the smallest. But she had spunk, and while often bullied by her siblings - she still kept strong. The more I visited her, and the more I interacted with her, I knew that this puppy was somehow meant to be in my life. When I would associate with her, she'd cling to me, and cuddle up. When I helped bathe her, she would curl up in my lap and fall into the cutest little sleep.
By April, the decision was official. I had to keep her in my life. She had become very important to me, and I couldn't bare to part ways with her. When I'd visit before, when she was outside with her siblings, she'd rush up to me and crave my attention. I couldn't deny that this dog loved me, and needed me in her life. Truthfully though, I needed her, more than she will ever know.
Nine months later, she has proven to be a strong and determined girl. She is my second shadow, next to my beautiful Guardian Angel (Cat). Raine does not leave my side. If I am somewhere without her, she does everything in her power to get to my side again.
She has healed me, and continues to make every day worthwhile. She and her kitty sister are my world.
