We adopted Rita a year after we lost our last beloved German Shepherd, Waneska. Things were just not quite right without a dog in the house again.
It just so happened that the moment we were looking for a new furbaby, Rita showed up as being available for adoption. We went and met her and we fell in love instantly. She was incredibly sweet and outgoing towards people and other dogs, and very well trained at that.
She's since ended up being the perfect match for us, even having similarities to our late girl, Waneska. Now our house feels so much less empty. She's charmed a lot of folks with her loving personality, including us.
She loves to fetch, it's her favorite activity! She's also incredibly fast when running for the ball. She does not herd, but she does follow you around like she's attached at your hip, a velcro dog, as I like to say! She is 100% affection, she has had no protection training, but as a proper Shepherd, she does sometimes bark to alert for noises that sound strange.
