Poco (Spanish for "little bit") was found running the streets of Stockton, California when he was rescued and offered to us by volunteer Susan Clark who flies her plane all over N. California rescuing any pet in distress! She is a member of The Ninety Nines, Inc. which was organized in 1929 by Amelia Earhart. Their mission is to empower young girls and women interested in pursuing a career in aviation such as aviation medicine, astronautics, learning to fly and more.
The first day Poco ran into our house, he peed on the floor, pooped on the carpet and humped a pillow on the couch. Within 48 hours he bonded so well with me and my wife that he ended up rescuing us, when we found out just how much love this little 15-pound (6.8 kg) dog has in his huge heart!
Poco is now a biker/bicycle dog and just sits in the basket as we go for a two-mile ride around the neighborhood. He was a pirate for Halloween, and we thought it suited his terrier personality well. He certainly stole our hearts!
