This is Jake, he is about four years old. Jake was seen running with another dog they assumed was a litter mate at a local golf course. Coyotes had been seen hunting on the course, the caddies had been trying to catch the pups so they didn't get eaten. Only Jake was able to be caught, the other pup disappeared. A couple who were members agreed to foster him and through the good fortune of sharing a veterinarian (the wonderful Dr Scheidt!) we got to bring him home.
Jake also goes by Jack and Jackson because our neighbor always called him Jack no matter how many times we corrected him.
Jake loves nothing more than a nap and can sleep anywhere, his favorite spot being on the couch next to his papa. He also loves walks and squeaky toys, but he only gets them for a short while when they are new and then his sister steals them. He loves to eat and is very treat driven. While he mostly seems lazy, when he is ready to play Look Out! And if he sees a squirrel he goes insane. He is fascinated by a pool sweep and has caught one and killed it (he is very brave!). He is talkative and makes his desires known, often loudly.
Jake is an absolute delight and we love him. Even his sister Dallas, who sometimes gets jealous, loves him.
