I rescued Lucky from the city shelter two years ago and it was love at first sight. Lucky is the sweetest, most affectionate dog and he loves to snuggle. He's happy around people and dogs. He's only 17 pounds but he has the confidence and boldness of a large dog; in fact, he loves to run with large dogs in the dog park. He's very athletic and crazy fast; he lives for the chase (the hunt).
Patterdales were bred to hunt rabbits and rats and it's at night that Lucky turns into a real ninja; he's always on the lookout for rats when we go for walks in our urban neighborhood and there's plenty to be found. That's all I'm gonna say about that.
Lucky is the best boy in the world; I tell him that every day. I was lucky to find him so I had to name him that; I had to.
