Lily is our beautiful little girl. She is a rescue from Alabama. We adopted her in 2013 at the age of two. As you can see she has one dead eye, half an ear and some missing fur. The story goes that she fought tooth and nail trying to save her puppies from an attack. From what kind of attack we don't know (and I don't want to know as it would break my heart). She spent 10 months in foster care before we adopted her (no one wanted her as they didn't want a disfigured dog – shame on them). She was so skittish and frightened when we brought her home. The great news is that she quickly came out of her shell and turned out to be a very friendly, loving, and funny little girl.
As you can see in one or two of the pictures, she loves to sit or lay down with her legs wide open, it cracks us up. We call that her slutty pose. She also likes to burrow under pillows and blankets and then poke her head out as if to say "surprise!" She loves to go on long walks and hang out in the sun. She will even swim on occasion, which is unusual for a beagle. She is not mischievous and doesn't get into any trouble. She is just a very good little girl by nature. She loves all people and animals but especially she loves food.
Lily is our best friend and our world revolves around her. We have had Lily for four years now and hope to have her for so many more years to come. She is the best of the best. She completes us!
