My chihuahua is named Feta, she sometimes looks like a teeny tiny lab so her name is @feta_the_minilab.
Feta was born 5.8.2018 in a Walmart parking lot to a stray chihuahua mommy. I had been searching for an older dog to rescue and happened upon the photos of her and her siblings. Her rescue had open market meet and greets and my husband and I went twice trying to meet her but she was so young and scared both times she had been taken home before we got there. Finally on our third try we met her and fell in love. I remember setting her down and feeling so protective when another family picked her up. She was only 12 weeks at the time but my husband is a veterinarian so they let us take her home that day!
I was told her siblings are all more than ten pounds, but she seems to have stopped growing at five!!!
She is very energetic and affectionate. She is the quietest chihuahua I've ever met. She only barks when she gets very excited playing. But occasionally if you ignore her she lets out the most frustrated little groan. She's a bit of a diva! She is very wiggly and jumpy whenever we come home from work or really into her line of sight at all. She loves meeting new people and dogs of all sizes. So far her best friends are a chihuahua daschund mix and a standard poodle. She's never met a person or dog she doesn't like.
She knows come, sit, stay, and fetch, sometimes she knows lay and shake. However, she pretends that she doesn't know what "no" means!
She is my first chihuahua, and my first dog as an adult! I love her!
