Doodle is a "Sheepadoodle" - that's a mix of Old English Sheepdog and Poodle. Until recently he lived with us in Toronto, now he lives with a family friend in Guyana. He's a sweet, fun-loving guy who was very curious and had no sense of personal space. Whenever he saw another dog here he'd race towards it with abundant force to give it a friendly welcome. He has the habit of getting in your face and jumping at you as he gets excited easily. He did this once with the wrong dog who only had so much patience and the dog got aggressive. Anyone who saw him thought he was so cute and he liked to make friends with everyone. He was especially close to my sister and would rarely leave her side.
Now he's in Guyana, he's got two new friends, German Shepherds, with whom he plays with all the time in a big yard. When we first got him he was so quiet, now he's less so, as he can bark quite loudly. In a matter of months he's grown at an alarming rate and is still growing. We used to take him on walks all over Toronto's Waterfront Trails from the Humber River to the Rouge River. He initially didn't like water, but we got him used to it. He enjoys it now, though. He has to, living in a country near the Amazon. We do miss him, but we get regular updates every time my dad travels to Guyana, which is monthly. So he is special to two families in two countries on two continents!
