Schroeder is a happy little dog who sometimes thinks he is a cat! He loved to sleep on the on arms and edges of couches and isn't all that into snuggling. But if you leave his sight, watch out! He is like a little furry shadow that follows you everywhere. He loves our two cats. He will follow them everywhere and loves to lick their ears! They also seem to love him too.
Schroeder is also a therapy dog! He worked very hard to get a special "love on a leash" title and now has a vest and special tag he wears! He goes and visits nursing homes, where the patients love him because he is so friendly and happy. They love to see him show off with his tricks like shake and "dance". Although he generally only does them for food! But the people also love to have him just lay down calmly so they can pet him.
Schroeder loves everyone he meets and every dog he meets as well. He is more of a big dog type though because he has two large older brothers, a collie and lab, who he loves to torment out of love. He has an odd fascination with other dog's tails, and loves to chase after and catch them! We think it is because his own tail is cropped! He loves also sorts of toys but especially ones that have highly annoying squeaks! He loves to play fetch but only indoors. If we go play fetch outside he gets too distracted by all the interesting smells. He has a very good nose! He loves to go on hikes with us through the woods and for a little guy he keeps up quite well! He is a great dog that has made us fall in love with cocker spaniels.
