Garth is a such a character! He enjoys terrorizing anything that gets in the backyard. Birds, squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits... Just whatever moves! His hunting instinct is amazing. His sense of smell and hearing is almost bionic. He is a great watchdog and expert barker. He is very intelligent and also has a sweet and loving side to his fierce personality. When he was younger, he never seemed fond of eating out of his dog bowl. We decided to start feeding him off a regular dinner plate and he loves it! I guess since we eat off a plate he figured that he should be doing it as well. He also acts like a child on Christmas whenever he gets a new toy! Oh yeah, he is big fan of getting ear massages! He is a very spoiled little boy!
Garth is our second Elkhound. They are a wonderful ancient breed - the "Dogs of the Vikings." They truly love their people. They are very loyal and protective dogs. Their Viking masters must have loved them as much as we do!
