Dog of the Day
Today's Dog of the Day
Pelé the Basset Hound, the Dog of the Day
Name: Pelé
Age: Five years old
Gender: Male Breed: Basset Hound
Home: Santa Rosa, California, USA
Pelé is a unique Basset who can jog five miles. He has very high energy with a sweet disposition. He apparently never read the description that said Basset Hounds are lazy, low-energy dogs!

Pelé is a social boy, his best friend is a neighborhood Schnauzer names Schnapps. He lives with his mom Margo and next door to his dad Max, also Bassets. He talks by whining and barks at hot air balloons. When out front, he howls at most dogs who try to pass by his home without coming to see him.

He prefers people food to dog food, but we try not to spoil him too much. We love him just as he is!
