She is special to us for one reason: she came into our lives not long after we had buried our beloved Dixie (white shepherd). I thought it was too soon to get another dog but my husband wanted to get one. Kayce was an eight-week-old ten pound ball of fuzz, full of spunk and personality. She still keeps us busy playing, giving/getting cuddles and just silly antics. One thing she doesn't like is having her picture taken. We were surprised when she held still long enough to get this one. She now weighs in at 115 lbs. and still thinks she is a lap dog.
I'm sure glad we went to look at the pups. The two dogs could not be more different. She helped us at the time with the grief and now we can't imagine life without her. She is silly and playful all the time that is until someone tries to come on her property then she is all German Shepherd guard dog. She is a big ol' mommas girl. She goes everywhere with me, follows me around the house and "helps" with the housework. Her idea of helping is to jump on the bed while I am trying to make it up and play "get me off if you can." If there is water she can get in and play she will.
Kayce loves to go to the park for our walks, she loves the peanut lady there. She feeds the squirrels. She loves to swing with me in the porch swing. She also loves her dad. She has to go meet him at the gate when he comes home. She likes sitting on the couch with him. She doesn't do any tricks, but she does carry her jolly ball around everywhere. She also HAS to have a fan on in "her" room at all times. We love her very much.
