Bear is approximately four and a half years old. I found Bear running wild in Kansas City, he was about six months old at that time. He was pretty pathetic - flea ridden and some open sores from dog bites, and terribly skinny. But when I saw him, I recognized his intelligence and a noble soul despite outward appearance.
I had him checked at the vet, wounds treated, fleas taken care of, and took him home. I named him Bear because he had paws like a bear cob,, and it seemed to suit him as well. He is now a beautiful animal, as you can see. After much examination and as he grew, his veterinarian and I decided he is part Golden Retriever and part Wolf. His eyes glow at night like a deer, and turn white like a flashlight.
He is a wonderful and obedient animal. I don't own him, like most people consider their dogs. We are partners, and he is living with me as a dear friend as long as he wishes to do so. He is the best.
